Accessibility Statement
Accessibility statement
Handley and District Parish Council wants as many people as possible to be able to use this website. That means, for example, that you should be able to zoom in up to 300 per cent without the text spilling off the screen, navigate most of the site using just a keyboard, and read most of the site using a screen reader.
How accessible this website is
The site has been built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA wherever possible. Text has good colour contrast against its background, images carry alternative text, headings are structured in order and links describe their destination. Some older documents in the library, particularly scanned PDFs, may not be fully accessible to screen readers.
Asking for documents in another format
If you need information on this website in a different format, such as large print or plain text, please contact the Clerk. We will consider your request and get back to you within ten working days.
Reporting accessibility problems
We are always looking to improve the accessibility of this website. If you find any problems that are not listed here, or think we are not meeting accessibility requirements, please contact the Clerk using the details on the Contact page.
Enforcement
The Equality and Human Rights Commission is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018. If you are not happy with how we respond to your complaint, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service.
