The Chairman’s Annual Report for the year 2025 to 2026 was received and approved at the July meeting of the Parish Council and is now available to read.

The report looks back on a busy year for the council, covering the planning applications considered, the council’s work on highways and road safety, the maintenance of the parish defibrillator, the grant made to All Saints Church and the ongoing conversations with the Bolesworth Estate about developments in the parish.

Finances in good order

The report also confirms that the council’s accounts for the year ended 31 March 2026 were approved at the annual meeting in May. As neither the council’s income nor its expenditure exceeded £25,000, the council certified itself exempt from a limited assurance review and submitted a Certificate of Exemption to the external auditor. The internal auditor, Morren Accountancy, reported that they were satisfied and had no matters of concern to raise.

Copies of the annual report, the Annual Governance Statement and the accounts will be added to the parish documents library.
