Parish defibrillator checked and ready for use
The parish defibrillator has been inspected and is in full working order. The council checks the unit regularly and keeps a record of each inspection, so that residents can be confident it is ready to use in an emergency.
The defibrillator is designed to be used by anyone. If someone collapses and is not breathing normally, call 999 first. The operator will tell you where the nearest defibrillator is and give you the code to open the cabinet. The machine talks you through every step, and it will only deliver a shock if one is needed.
Help us keep it ready
If you notice anything wrong with the cabinet, or if the defibrillator has been used, please let the Clerk know as soon as possible so that the pads and battery can be checked and replaced. The council would also like to hear from any residents interested in a short community training session on using the defibrillator and giving CPR.
